What really makes this movie a gem is the premise and how it's executed. Danny gathers his team together and lays out the plan of how they will rob one of the most prestigious casinos as the owner himself looks on. $150 million dollars in cash ($100 dollar notes) would weight 1500 kg or 3300 pounds. 136.4 kg / person. Also cash would have been useless. Do you think that casinos and banks would have been stupid enough to not have serial numbers? Even a single note getting back in the circulation and the Feds would be hot on their tail. Even without serial numbers, laundering $150 million in cash would raise alarms.

All dollar notes end up eventually to the banks and even foreign banks want exchange worn out notes to fresh ones eventually, so foreign banks will send them back to the USA and get fresh ones in exchange and soon as this happens the Feds will have a clue. Also having tens of millions in cash will raise alarms regardless where you are. And a lot of cash is useless, you absolute need money in a bank account: try buy a mansion or new Ferrari with cash, it will raise eyebrows. Also whoever you buy things will deposit money in the bank, and alarms are ring, the Feds would be hot in your tail. The bank notes have serial numbers for reason.

Indeed Batman and Robin was one of the worst and I mean the worst superhero films that's ever made.

no it's not at all. Either Gary Ross or Soderbergh got the idea to do another oceans film. Bernie is dead, Carl Reiner is old, and Clooney, Pitt, Affleck, and Damon all became waaaaaaaay huger movie stars since 2001. To make another male oceans movie would cost an arm and a leg to get the main players back plus some would be missing or have to be recast. So now you have two options: completely reboot the franchise with a bunch of new young actors or make a new one with female characters. The second option allows for a more interesting cast with better actors and therefore is the only logical choice. On the upside, Soderbergh is producing and characters from the original will make cameos. The idea that this is just feminism gone wild is pretty bullshit imo. The same goes for ghostbusters, the female cast was the only logical option, but the product just ended up being garbage sadly.
