You two crack me up!😆 Awesome finds, both of you. Theo please tell me that you aren't going to cut that white TSA with amethyst!😲 Such an incredible piece. Alexis has the eye for finding the great ones too, she did well before but really found some wonderful rocks on this trip.👍 Love the beautiful agates and petrified wood, and the plume is fantastic! Amazing ones with crystals, druzy and bots too. Was there not any jaspers or were you mainly looking for agates and petrified wood? Thanks for sharing your trip out with Kate & Jim, looked really fun!✌️🤠
@TheoKellison

There were jaspers but not actually a whole lot surprisingly🤔 we usually see way more than that, or we may have potentially just had the agate blinders on😅😂 and rest assured that that tsa will definitely NOT be getting cut!😁 im thinking mineral oil and just leave it alone as is; that thing is just amazing as is😄thanks so much for watching!

Theo, thanks for taking us along on another fun rock hunting adventure! I live in the midwest... I'm wondering what is the difference between a Montana agate, and a treasure state agate? How do you distinguish the difference? Enjoyed having Alexis along again!!
@TheoKellison
2 жыл бұрын
Great question! So a treasure state agate isnt so much a real classification as it is montanan slang for any opaque fortification agate found specifically along the yellowstone river; montana agates on the other hand are a very broad encompassing agate that covers all moss agates and banded chalcedony found in the yellowstone river drainage from Gardiner to North Dakota

While I think the amethyst TSA is pretty freakin' awesome, I'm holding back judgement on the best find of that hunt until I see that blue agate at 15:50 cut. I'm putting my money on that being an INSANE blue banded beauty with a tiny drusy pocket in the center. And I'm not going to sleep well until I SEE it cut, if you get my drift... Please don't make us wait too long to see it cut!

The huge agatized wood at 10:50 mark is a Potato.. LOL Never saw Coral on the Yellowstone. Totally Amazing. Your Petoskey stone Will polish if you are Very Careful & don't over tumble use your wheel too much.. Rob at Michigan Rocks shines them up pretty well.. But ~ his are filled with Agate.. So, the depressions in yours will make polishing Difficult.. ~ The rock at 15:56 mark looked like Granite until you got it right up to the camera.
