you the real MVP, for real. Just my luck I find you as I'm attempting to finish my final epidemiology assignment. I've been reading the textbooks, slides, listening to lectures on repeat, and a few simple videos just made me understand something I was ready to give up on and just take the L. Thank you sir! Do you do any other medical classes? I'm subbing anyway thanks for saving me, your my hero.

great job ! are the same biostat topics tested in step 3 ?
@stomponstep1989
8 жыл бұрын
+amy k I haven't taken step 3 yet, but from what I understand all 3 step exams have very similar biostats questions. I know that the questions on my Step 2 and Step 1 were more or less the same material as far as biostats. I have also had other residents use my videos to prep for Step 3 and they found my material applicable to them.

Great video, but I am still confused about the interpretation. So the interpretation of RR and OR is the same? Because if seen some websites that say that RR should be interpreted as the way you explained it but not the OR.
@stomponstep1989
9 жыл бұрын
JMR JMR For step 1 the most important thing is to know the "line of no difference" which is 1 for both RR and OR. If the given confidence interval doesn't cross 1 then there is a statistically significant between the groups being studied. You probably don't need to understand too much more than that when it comes to interpretation and as most of the questions ask you to calculate something rather than interpret it into a text description. Do you have the link to the site you were referencing so I can get a better idea about what type of interpretation you have in mind?
