Clear, precise and highly informative. I have been hunting for this piece of information for days and none other videos were so accurate. Can you please make a video on writing an emergency referral letter? It's quite confusing when to write past medical history. Looking up to you.

But empathizing means the ability to understand the feeling of another person. so will that be discredit to use phrases like "i understand your concern" or "i understand your pain" etc?
@LearnEnglishForHealthcare
4 жыл бұрын
I see your point. However, we can never 100% understand the other person's situation. Therefore it is safer to avoid using the word "understand". If you really want to use it, it is better to say "I understand that you are concerned" or "I understand that you are in pain" as these are facts which cannot be disputed.

How can we appreciate worrying.
@LearnEnglishForHealthcare
5 жыл бұрын
Good question. To appreciate has 2 meanings: 1. "To recognise something's worth" e.g. "I appreciate your kindness" 2. "To fully understand a situation" e.g. "I appreciate that you are worried" The first use is more common, but the second use is to show empathy

@LearnEnglishForHealthcare
4 жыл бұрын
Good question. The initial "warm up section" where you talk about yourself is not marked. They will then clearly tell you to start the scenario from your card. From this moment everything is marked, including marks for introducing yourself to the patient.
