There is nothing wrong with how you make your bagels but I learned a way to shape them that is easy and makes them more uniform. Joshua Weissmans channel has a How To Make New York Style Bagels vid and at just after the 3 minute mark, he shows a technique for forming the dough into a ball quickly and easily which he sets aside to proof. He later simply perforates the center, smooths it, and finishes it like you do. Homemade bagels give great opportunities for creativity and customization and you may be making them exactly how you desire them. Its cool and does not have to change. Love the vibe and content of your videos. Thanks for sharing. Just subbed!

You guys are on fire! It's crazy to see how you've "blown up" so quickly. Great combo with the 2 of you and the cabin setting. Is your cabin, by chance, one that's been in the family for a while? With 10 bunks spread throughout, I'm thinking it is/was a hunting cabin? I started my channel at about the same time as you and I'm struggling with a whopping 12 subscribers (and I think they are probably just family)! Your editing and footage is great, always changing angles, keeping it interesting, and making somewhat unique foods. I really like the bloopers at the end of your videos. Keep up the great work. Watch out Simple Living Alaska, Holly & Geoff are on your heels!

Thank you so much, we really appreciate your feedback! My dad built the cabin 35 years ago ( the year I was born) (holly) … otherwise it’s just Geoff and I who use it 🙂 we go up a few times a week and then of course hunting season we spend 1-2 weeks there 🦌 Geoff is completely behind the editing and seems to be doing a great job ! We try to be cognizant of switching up shots and the bloopers are just to add a little more of our personality.. we tend to make a ton of mistakes haha We are on our journey to eventually moving and living off grid so we are documenting the transition to that ! I borrow a lid from something else to cover my bread bowls. Also wet & squeeze out tea towel to put over rising dough.

22:15 why not spice it up with some olives , cheese and perhaps ham? Flatten the dough and bake the goodies wrapped inside the dough.

If you sprinkle crushed lime over your wood piles it will keep bugs from making a home in the piles.

It's a 24" stove I believe. We don't use the oven that often for it to be of any real concern, to be honest. Thanks so much for Watching! 🙏🏼
