I visited Rowter Farm in a caravan about 30 years ago. It’s still very recognisable. Nothing has changed in that time!

@@whereveraway Yes, it does. We were in a German built Hobby then but we now have a vintage Eriba Puck. Great to see your Eriba, a very nice van!

The sooner everyone starts using what 3 words the better. It is by far the most accurate method of getting anywhere!

Totally agree. I mentioned this to the farm owner and they had never heard of it. They said just google the farm name, which suggested a reluctance to change.

Couple of observations Attaching the hitch to the towball is easire with the brake off, if possible After hitching lower the jockey wheel to raise the car a few inches, you are certain then that your are on the towball propoerly I always do this now after once detaching, luckily no harm done

Hi Frant, on point one yes if the ground is level. on point two, we used to do that but the inner handle being down confirms that we are hitched, but I take your point and that is what the dealer told us to do also.

Hi Gary When the inner handle clicks down it might just be resting on the towball, I had detachment when I thought I was properly engaged so now when hitched I alweays wind down the jockey wheel to make sure the hitch is engaged

Thanks for the advice Frank. From now on i will use the jockey wheel to lift the vehicle to ensure a proper hitch. It costs nothing to be sure.

Away again!!!! Loved the last post about cheaper sites . Travelling in a 430 on my own I don’t want to pay more than £20/max £25

It’s all possible as long as you think like a camper and expect a little bit of rough and ready.
