Guys, I fully understand your coffee dilemma. It's vital to understand that in case of emergency, pack a small backpackers gas stove. Thank you Philly and Keely, I really enjoyed that video. This is the first time that I've seen your video so I liked and subscribed. I really enjoyed the fact that you made a video of places familiar to me. Lake Leak near Mount Gambier was our swimming hole through my tweens, teens and early twenties, I still go there often wuth my brother when I visit him in Mount Gambier. An I played my first game of golf at Robe in the late 1970's or early 1980's. You two make exploring fun, a joy to watch even for a grandpa like me. Most of my videos are from Mount Burr about 20 KM from Lake Leake. We used to live in Glencoe in the 1970's, a place you would have driven through or passed close by on your way to the lake. Happy travels you two, I'm looking forward to more fun videos from you two.👍

We had originally planned to carry two, but thought we could survive two weeks, but turns out we drink alot of coffee so may need that second one after all 🤣🤣 and yes we currently have three waters to keep us going in the outback, it reached 47 degrees where we are a couple days ago, went through 10litres drinking water in less than two days, first time in my life I said I'm thirsty instead of I'm hungry 🤣🤣

I learned that every vanlifer needs ant spray and hornet/ bee spray in the van from this video . Starting January 1 I’m going to be fasting one day a week . Have all I want to drink but nothing to eat for 24 hours . Sounds hard but I have done it a couple of days in 2023 . It’s easy once you do it once you realize you can do it easily . Watched several videos on it . Philly from now on anything that needs to be shaken please do it facing the camera . Wasn’t sure what you were doing there for a second . That sound had me wondering . Australia seems to have it all . Couldn’t believe you had that park all to yourself .

General advice when you find a baby bird on the ground: unless it’s dangerous for the baby-e.g., cats, traffic etc-it’s usually best to just leave them where they are. The parents are somewhere in the area keeping an eye out, and they will continue to bring it food.

Great video! My fav pancake toppings is the classic lemon, sugar and cream 😋 Regarding your journey through the outback: unless you HAVE to be in central australia for something soon, Id do the reverse of your itinerary and go along the coast to WA, do south WA then start heading north along the coast and do the top end and the journey down the middle in the middle part of the year when it will be dry, less humid and cool down at night. Right now in the centre they are having 44 degree days, in the top end things are shut because the waterways open with the rains and the crocs are on the move and the humidity is killer, it is unbearable in van, seriously consider going clockwise around. Safe travels and cannot wait to see more! ❤

Sadly we are on limited time due to visa so only have summer to explore, we are a couple of weeks ahead on filming, and we have just been experiencing 44-47 degrees in the outback and it has certainly been brutal, all that to look forward to watching in the New year haha, but yeah with the weather getting worse up north we've decided to turn back and head to Tasmania for summer ❤️🙏

@@phillyandkeely OMG Tasmania is epic and I had such a great time there last year, I went last summer. I am just catching up on your videos and watched your 2023 recap after this one and realised you had already done the outback 🙈 You are 2 very brave people! Well done and cant wait to see the videos! Also, I love your van build, LOVE the darker wood! Xx

LPG is not available everywhere, make sure you plan your journey when traveling "outback". If you do find it in the outback it will be bloody expensive!..good luck in your travels

Yeah we have been planning our route, thankfully there are LPG stations often enough along the Stuart highway, I've been calling them ahead to check they work, so far so good, but if not we have petrol back up to keep us going. Everything definitely gets more expensive the further in to the centre we go haha

I'm not sure I could live in a world without gluten 🤣🤣 I'm sure the bread etc has gotten much better over time though, just like vegan cheese has. There seems to be alot more options in shops now for GF

Cor, missed my cuppa and your video on Sunday but when I got the alert I saved it to watch with a quiet morning cuppa today 😁 Guys I love the genuine enthusiasm you have stripping life back to basics and I’m defo on that same page. Urban life feels so toxic and it seems society is so lost in absolute nonsense and so far removed from the purity of life. Loving the updates x

Okay, a minute in and i already have a question. Hey .. seriously.. you always are spot on with all the apps. I don't even know what to get. (shovels foot in the sand) Can we perhaps get a video where you talk about your favourite (travel) apps that really helped with road trips and camp life and all that?

Curious why, with that giant battery, you don't have an induction or electric hotplate.

Editting videos takes alot of power for us, being off grid and not having to worry about power was super important. Plus our big fridge 😍 I think a hot plate would have been a lower priority for power.
