With the introduction of the DB series scheme on January 1st, 1968, the power cars of the VT 11.5 were renumbered BR 601, and the center cars were renumbered BR 901. In 1971, the German Federal Railroad set up the intercity system as an urban rapid transit system with 1st class vehicles every two hours. On average, six units were used daily. After a rebuild, use in special tourist service ("Alpen-See-Express") followed from 1980 onward. Starting from Hamburg and Dortmund, the tourist trains ran to popular vacation destinations in southern Germany and Austria.
FLEISCHMANN is turning the model (ref. no.: 741005, 741085, 741006) into the original condition of the 1980s and has already beautifully staged the model in a video before delivery.
