Great video and I appreciate you explaining how to measure the travel length an where to put the shock mounting bolt.

I'm doing the same thing. Don't like my bouncy trailer! lol. some of my videos you can see it tilting to far and nearly dumping it.

I feel that the leaf springs are too inboard and close togeter causing top heavy body to roll in corners. Spring's should be on outer frame of chassis. Lovely trailer.

interesting video , the only thing i would be concerned about doing this myself is not drilling through chassis as the engineering back in the day was not that thought out , drilling through chassis weakens the chassis , i would be more inclined to use the mount supplied

How much does your trailer weight? I have a 1500 lbs trailr and I wonder if this kit will work for mine? BWT, great video, Thank you!!
@DarrylSheather

That weight would be fine, I've had the shock kit in when my camper was 1300lb, it's now 1600lb.

Regarding tyre pressure gauges. Can I be sure they are accurate?

If you buy something decent they should be pretty accurate.

Hey mate, whats the size ( length) of axel did you get? And where from pls? Iv got a no5 too:) cheers
@DarrylSheather

You need to work it out from the wheel and tub backspacing you have, I should have the calc's in the episode about replacing the axle. Couplemate in Queensland do custom axles.

@@timeisnow9855 I purchased the complete axle/hubs and brakes as one package. went for a 50mm axle/parallel bearings and electric drum brake package.
