Sudhi, thanks for sharing this video. I was wondering if I could use this script getting the data from another excel file, JSON format imported with power Automate. I need to transfer a large number of cells between 2 excel files, the export script is working well but the import isn't.

Hi, thank you for videos. It is very easy to understand who is new to the Office Scripts. I am having a bit of concern I have to copy the dataset from one workbook to another workbook. So in order to perform that I guess I should create 2 office script in order to work in Power Automate. 1st script will be to get the data from one workbook and 2nd script will be to paste the data into another workbook. Is it possible to perform the mentioned action.

This is great, just what I was looking for. I already have a CSV file and hence I removed the Random function, but at the end it says missing expression before the last }. Can I send you the entire code ?

thanks for this!!..was running into performance issues with my script...You think this would be able to work with a table with a few changes?

Yes. the same can work with the tables. The video in question is for write scenario. So, for tables, you can access underlying range using the table.getRange() API, which returns the range object. For more specific details, please send me the specifics. You can also log an issue here with details - github.com/sumurthy/officescripts-projects/issues

Hi, Thank you for your videos. I am new Office Scripts though not a programmer, just have basic knowledge of coding in python. I was trying to Office Scripts by recording my movements on Excel for Web. I faced an issue. I have source from which I download and .xlsx sheet every week and run some filters. The office scripts run well but doesn't capture the initial "Crtl+A" which I use select the entire data range of the worksheet before I covert it to a table. The script records only from creating a table. As a result my script is not working on weekly files which have different data ranges. It would be nice if you could help.

Have you tried: let usedRange = workbook.getActiveWorksheet().getUsedRange() ?
