I gather these are vintage episodes based on the squad cars lol. My heart broke for the last case, dad and son have switched roles. Happened to me. I was the dumb young mom with an abusive husband back in the late 80’s and that changed me, how can someone that pursues a person because they’re “in love” turn into the worst decision, the biggest monster. That little son of his destroyed my heart, those eyes wide open, brain on record seeing his daddy shove his momma around, then get taken down by 4 LEO’s, murmuring “daddy” so meekly. I pray mom figured out that eventually that rage will be turned on the kids, happened 1 time, my daughter was 3.5 years old, son 1.5 years old, dad hit her, and WW3 happened, it was like the gates of hell opened a portal in my soul, I attacked him, before I could even think a thought. We fought, and when he had me backed up on top of the couch by my neck, trying to push me thru the window the last thing I heard was a freaking, popping sound of the glass straining. It was like a vignette was placed over my vision, darkness was taking over, all I could do was stop trying to loosen his fingers and start swinging. He was so stunned that he tripped backwards over the coffee table and I just grabbed on to his shirt and fell with him… Anyway, that was the last time a man hit my children . That was more than 30 years ago, my kids are adults, and I can say that they know their worth.

I volunteer with dv victims. They call to make it stop, once the cops get there, they realize they'll be beaten far worse after they leave jail or even get killed. Abuse victims have been manipulated and beaten so badly, their brain is rewired and they live in a constant state of fear. Most abuse victims who are murdered get killed when they try to leave or do leave. They're constantly terrified of the consequences to come. Restraining orders are just pieces of paper and an abuser will walk right through one. I lost a girl in the parking lot of a shelter. Her abuser staked the place out and when she walked out he shot her after being released from jail. It isn't as easy as you think and I implore you to learn more about abuse victims and show them more empathy. It takes an average of 7 times of escaping/leaving before a victim finally leaves for good, so long as they survive

The pos abuser isn't found to be served! Do not judge! Apparently you don't know the crap the abuser puts the victim, family and friends plus the victims job through! Ngl you should delete this you sound like an unempathetic kid who has been lucky enough to never have drugs affect them or their family. What about all the doctors that are over prescribing highly addictive and very strong pain meds when patients dont need them? They should be in prison too right? I mean they are kickstarting most peoples addictions and then kicking them to the curb after their prescription ends and they are addicted to drugs
@MegNotTheStallion
11 ай бұрын
Drug and alcohol addiction is a disease. Scientists and doctors are a lot more intelligent than you and have confirmed this. Addiction rewires the brain. Does that mean they should be absolved of all their wrongdoings while on drugs/alcohol? Absolutely not. However, they are victims of addiction, and it's brutal. The first time is often a choice, but an addiction begins after the first couple of times for someone who has a predisposition to addiction in their genes, and most addicts do. Not everyone did make the choice either. Millions of people were prescribed opiates by a doctor for pain, and they turned to the streets when the doctor took them off of the medication. That's why we're in an opioid crisis. I implore you to be more empathetic and less ignorant to the truth about addiction. Addidts deserve empathy just like anyone else. My mom died of alcoholism. She went to rehab 13 times. You know why she started drinking? My brother and her father killed themselves, she endured horrible abuse and rape, and she'd been through a great deal. When my brother died, she started drinking to cope. Everyone has a story, and no one is setting out to become an addict. They're only searching for a way to numb their immense pain and suffering. Happy people don't go seeking a way to self medicate. Had I not grown up in a family of addicts and alcoholics, I would have turned to substances too. I lost my brother, mom, dad, and all my grandparents. All I wanted was to make the pain stop and consider using something to do it, but my life lessons prevented me from doing so. I will never judge an addict. We're all one tragedy away from going that route
