Wrigley and Fenway have trains to get you there easily, but I would not want to park at either. Here in Atlanta, there's no subway to get to the stadium and parking at Truist can be challenging. One of the reasons I love Petco is not only because it's a great stadium, but there is a walkway from the Omni Hotel to the park. Couldn't ask for anything easier. And that's a shame because on the north side you have a legendary ballpark synonymous with the name. Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised as it's a nice clean cut Stadium. I don't know if the climate has anything to do with the direction that the stadium faces. If you flip the stadium around and face it towards the Chicago skyline I believe that would be huge aesthetically. Maybe someone could tell me why they didn't capitalize of The View? White Sox, Cubs hater fan. That said, Wrigley Field is much better than the chopped up make-shift renovated Fenway.....some seats you have to turn 45 degrees to see a pitch thrown to the batter. I've been to both stadiums....Wrigley is a much better place to see a game before, during, and after. C'mon now.

No shit. The seats along the first base line are horrible at Fenway. Still designed for people who lived and starved in 1914. The centerfield bleacher seats were far more tolerable to see the game, as were the Monster seats. Yeah, it's pretty, but those seats, man.

Fenway went from being a sold out park for years, to the team not being recently interesting, so its a tourist attraction, the biggest bar in the city and everyone is on their phone in the stands anyway.

The first time I walked into Fenway Park, September of 1972, the Sox against the NY Yankees, we came in on the first base side, the outfield was bathed in a golden sunlight, no seats on the Green Monster, it was perfect. I had seen it on TV, but actually walking in made me a Boston Red Sox fan for life. Been back many times since, always fun.

It is awful how teams want a new stadium every couple of years. And want the voters to pay for it. No city should build a new stadium and only help with upgrades for the stadium itself and not a "ballpark village".

GABP. Is always disrespected. Have you ever been to it? It’s in my top 3 of the 22 I’ve visited it. Fenway is old and looks cool but functionally blows. And Yankees stadium is the most soulless cookie cutter park. Feels like I’m on the set of a movie about a made up baseball team.

I’m not even a White Sox fan (Cubs fan), but Guaranteed Rate Field is not in a bad area. The “bad” part of the south side of Chicago doesn’t start until you get a few miles south of there. They play in Bridgeport. Take one drive around there, look at all the houses and tell me it’s a bad area. Simply incorrect.

Fenway? You've got to be kidding! 5 different wall heights. How many 37-foot walls in MLB? Fly balls that would be outs in 29 other parks are doubles or often HRs. Nothing close to symmetry - no "pie shape" to it. Many blindspots and many obstructed view seats. When compared to an average stadium, Fenway is missing the amount of square footage of playing surface that equals two football end zones (153.3 x 30 x2 = 9200 sqft). How about just getting there? Are you going to stand up and cheer a 302-foot home run? When I last went to Fenway, you had 50 guys all trying to urinate in a 6 foot trough.

@@HoshizakiYoshimasa Maybe a bit airport hanger-ish when the roof is closed, but of course much nicer when it's open. And oh... there's a retractable roof! That's somethin'... much better than delays & rainouts. And yes, an awful tragedy occurred while it was being built. So that taints the stadium forever?? What would be your suggestion... to exorcise the demons by leveling the stadium and starting from scratch in a different location or new design?? Only reason Wrigley is still around is that Chicago can't figure out how to fleece the rest of the state on how to build a new park. What some call nostalgia, some call a p.o.s. The park being historic and a city being a historic dung heap. There are so many WS champions housed there. 😂😂😂😂😂

Oracle is entering it's 25 season and it's beginning to age a bit. Nothing major, but the place could use a refresh. You're abolutely right that the relocation of the bullpens looks like it was done on the cheap. A lot of the park needs a fresh coat of paint. I was in the locker room during fan fest and was surprised at how worn out it looked. And the tunnels under the first level have always looked unfinished (a lot of concrete and duct work in a relatively enclosed space), which seem inappropriate since they are being used by the highest paying fans not located in the suites. Place needs to be treated a bit more like they're planning on using it another 25 years (which is reasonable given that I believe the Giants can extend the lease past 2060).

T-Mobile: A green wall in centerfield drew the ire of batters. As the sun went down over Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, it sent a glare off the wall. That made it difficult for batters to pick the ball when it left the pitcher's hand. The Mariners tried a number of fixes, including PLANTING TREES. Eventually, the trees were removed, the wall was painted and a black honeycomb material was placed on the wall.

I travel to different ballparks every year. Rays stadium is terrible. I do like Guaranteed Rate field . I treated my uncle to club level seating and we had a very good time. Nationals ballpark was not bad. Progressive Filed is pretty good. It does have some flavor. Citi field I like. Yankee Stadium is okay. The Marlins stadium I liked. I will be going to Dodgers Stadium this year in the 2024 season. I enjoyed Citizens Bank Park and PNC Park. Living in Baltimore, Oriole Park is my number one. Wrigley Stadium is my all time favorite stadium besides Oriole Park. Fenway Park is a classic. I can not argue with that being number 1.

What average family can afford to go to a game? A family of five would cost over $500 to attend a game. Tickets, parking, snacks, drinks, dinner and maybe a souvenir would be well over $500. In some stadiums, you have to put up with the stench of pot. Winning or losing, it used to be a fun family night. NO MORE!

Before the family of five: Believe it or not, taking a date to an O's game was a cheap date. On the way to Memorial Stadium, I'd pick up a pizza and a six pack. Then drive to the library on 33rd street and park for free in the parking lot behind the library. In a few blocks, we'd be at the stadium where I bought tickets for the bleacher seats. We sat on the bleachers and ate pizza and drank beer. Even if she didn't follow baseball, there was so much to see and enjoy as her first experience at a professional baseball game. She'd talk about it for weeks. What fun and great memories. Go O's! Thank you for the memories.

American Family Field at #25 is bad. You underplayed the roof. Which allows for games to always be played in a state that has crazy weather, no mention of the unique slide for our mascot, no mention of the brand new scoreboards, the concourses are amazing and wide open, You can walk 360 degrees around the park (going behind the scoreboard), we have large sliding glass panels in the outfield that allow natural light, and the exterior is indeed beautiful.
