What a beautiful video, it's more like a documentary like some of the other comments mentioned. It makes you want to be there enjoying every moment with everyone around. Great content!! I grew up in San Francisco CA and as a kid I loved going to Chinatown and exploring the different shops, even now that I'm older every time I get a chance to go to San Francisco, I like taking my kids, especially to eat. I've visited New York's Chinatown a few years back, so watching this video brought me back. Great job China Mac!!

Love all the old spots .. Especially Mai Sun with its spareribs lunch rice boxes... with Fanta orange soda in glass bottles.. which was what I grew up with. Nom Wah.. nah.. catered to tourists now .. charging overpriced dimsum to tourists is not authentic enough anymore . Restaurants like Mei Lee Wah with their roast pork and simple buns with pats of butter being sold on Thanksgiving and hanging sticky mosquito rolls to catch flies are some things remembered. Keep the immigrants’s dream and heart alive is the message taken from this video.

China MAC, your content gets better and better each segment. Your host was incredibly knowledgeable and a great host. Does he do food tours? If not, he would be excellent. I noted that the editor made the picture look a little dated to match the content of this video- brilliant. It reminded me of an educational commercial about the Chinese immigrants and Chinatown back in the early 80's. Watching this reminded me of that commercial and it felt very nice. I agree with your other fans, do Patreon. Good Luck and so looking forward to the next one. FIRE

Mac, why don't you invest in those dying businesses and keep some of the old school Chinatown going? You can source new blood for them by grabbing people's attention who are going through culinary school. You can offer to buy better equipment for a business owner if they need it so they don't need to worry about not breaking even at the cost of spending a little extra on the restaurant. At least be a shareholder or something as a way of giving back to the streets that raised you. You clearly love your culture and I can see you being able to help preserve it for the newer generations.

I can't blame a kid for not wanting to walk in their parents shoes. If a kid has solid potential, I bet their own parents don't want them walking in their shoes. Its like this... Owning such a business, normally requires you yourself to work there, in order to produce a good wage. In other words they didn't buy a business, but rather they bought themselves their own job and they most likely feel and know that. If my kid going to be a doctor, then wtf?
