REST IN HEAVEN COUSIN, My dad would play this much when I was younger. Always was the coolest in the family. He’ll be the coolest in heaven too. We miss you!

it's 1988, i'm in a punk rental smoky basement darkroom finishing up a photo portfolio (drying prints), there are empty beers cans, an overflowing ashtray (i know, i know), the sky is starting to lighten, and this comes on the 2nd hand radio courtesy of wemu in ypsilanti michigan. it'll heal ya, folks!

I LOVE this song! My friend just shared it with me yesterday. The smooth sound, Leon Thomas’ passion in his voice and the reggae beats are everything! I kind of get the same feeling when I listen and watch the Alvin Ailey dancers perform Revelations. Such a healing force…..

Apparently, the song doesn't touch you. Apparently you forget that we fought a Civil War against our own, Xtian-based slavery institution, in our own history, and still have both the single largest overall and largest per capita prison populatio in the world. Everyone's looking to blame someo9ne other than themselves for the world's problems. Everyone think they're the Good Guy. Everyone is a shithead undeserving of God's mercy if such a being exists. But we try.
