Crazy how deep these fire pits are. No wonder I’m so bad at finding artifacts on the river
@rockscousteau

Yea man. I need to get another 6 feet deep to be in true paleo occupation layers. The sediments that wash in...bury stuff. I honestly think there are layers 20-30 feet deep locked in sand layers

You certainly are putting in the work to get too the artifacts it definitely sucks that you get that deep and it caves in, then the barge "just" happens to park right on your spot. I feel like maybe it wasn't an accident 😕. I don't know how much time I have left due to my cancer situation but I will be looking into the superchat because you have kept me entertained so much and have kept my problem in the back of my mind with the amount of videos you've put out in the past month +. I hope you keep pacing yourself and get the rest you need but keep finding plenty of artifacts for content and the excellent mix of your animals really makes for an entertaining video. I would love to see you get on one of your clovis spots in the near future. Take care buddy and GL next hunt 👍

The big danger. Cave Ins. This is a place where if the bank buckles and you are in the hole. You are dead. I have to be careful doing this. It is as dangerous as coal mining. I have had a few close calls with big rocks falling

You will find all kinds of great stuff on the Arkansas river. It is some of the best hunting in the world. You get into fire pits like this on that river. They will be LOADED. Just remember. Most of it is buried. From the looks of this place I am digging and that massive THICK ancient sand layer covering these fire pits. There was a MAJOR flooding event. And things got buried fast. So this place is like a time capsule. You will find places like that....there. Many of them

Yea. That dude is doing some hard digging. People dont realize how hard it is to find any nice marbles. It is way tougher digging in the dump verses the river. And the bugs in the dump are out of control. It is the most brutal job ever. That guy has some good places to look from what i watched. So I think a little support. Will help. It motivates you to go out and dig when you get a little of that

Do you ever think that maybe some of the weird tools or crude tools/points could be made by kids who are learning and practicing? It seems like they would begin teaching their kids from a young age to begin making "toy" points and tools.
@rockscousteau
Ай бұрын
Well. On most of those crude pieces. I can see why it was thrown down. There is usually a bad spot in the chert. So it was discarded. 9/10 of those items are that
