The OhmRGB is a totally customizable, interactive MIDI instrument, designed to give you hands-on control for your performance. lividinstrument... Livid Instruments: Handmade in Austin,TX USA.
yes. very handy if you are a computer programmer for nasa. apart from that not overly useful - i have had the ohmrgb for over 2 years and only use it to dj.

why did you chose non digital knobs? Doesn't it make it a bit impractical if you want to assign different parameters on the same knob but on different pages? I mean, what would happen if I flip back and forth between pages and changing parameters? I don't mean to diminish your product, I just want to understand.

😅🤣😂🙃😛 I'm twice your age and ~5 years behind what you're doing! Retired laserist, just developed a Teensy Laser Synth, with a T4.1 + 3 audio shields and the guidance of 'our pal Dave' of Notes and Volts. It's only ~2" X 3" cube that connects to ILDA standard laser projectors and is controlled via usbMIDI, with the ACP40 mkii and Reaper' DAW. But, I'm trying to learn how to illuminate the Akai's clip buttons, which brought me to this video. I'll check out your Python code. I'm guessing that I need to MIDI.Send a Note.On back to the Akai button from the Teensy.🤔 Also building my own custom master control surface for multiple T4 Laser Synths/projectors, which is very similar to your Ohm custom surface. A 10" touch surface, a 15" touch monitor,& TouchOSC for Reaper's mixer should round out the menagerie (until I get some more bright ideas). Pleased to meet you!😎

This is easily the best demo i have EVER seen on youtube. EVER. I thought it was going to be way to confusing but nope, nope. Bravo.

Great jam, the most convincing Livid demonstration yet I think. Would love an Ohm, but I'm stuck with my cheaply-made Novation controller for now.

Hi, I need some help please. I've got the RGB with the mapping shown in the video for ableton. But the Leds turn off by using the buttons, how can I change them?

Would this controller compare with the Ableton Push if I were to only be using them to control Ableton Live?
@tylerthompson2698

It can try to fight to good fight but nothing compares to Push for controlling Live IMO
@MrMaxadax

***** that depends on taste, push wouldn't be as good as something like this for someone who wants a lot of assignable nobs or faders. push is very focused on pads
@toh3k

Not even close. Don't get me wrong, livid makes incredibly cool things and the diy stuff is awesome, but just the fact that the push pads are velocity sensitive is huge. Unlike this video where he's got his snare split up into 4 different velocities, you can just play the ableton pads at different velocities. And that ability carries over to synths and everything else.
