Holy Name (16) travels to take on Olmsted Falls (4) in Round 2 of the OHSAA Playoffs. After winning the state title last year, Olmsted Falls is hovering around .500 heading into the playoffs. A big reason why they have struggled this season is the absence of star player Dominic Fusco who played in the first six games before leaving the team. With him averaging over 3 goals per game in those contests, the workload has fallen upon juniors Jake Bill and Aidan Toth to score the goals. As for Holy Name, they are in a rebuilding year. Don't tell them that however as they are on the brink of yet another 10+ win season. This has been in large part due to Xavier Rodriguez scoring over 60 goals this year. He surpassed Andrew Mueller for the second most goals in a single season at HN. On the defensive, Peter Rose has excelled once again this year. With his final save against West Geauga on May 7, he now holds the record for most saves in a career all time in the OHSAA. The winner of this contest has a date with the winner of Highland and Padua up next.
Faceoff at Charles A Harding Memorial Stadium (OFHS) is at 7 PM with Nathan Smee and special guest Mr. Kevin Ontko on the call
