Nice neat job mate. I have the exact same boiler, fitted as a replacement about 3 years ago. Took me a good shift from start to finish. They are heavy to move around compared to a gas boiler. Mine is in an under stair cupboard off the kitchen, back breaking bent over to access the pipes, yours had plenty space for access and all your tools at your feet. I was in and out all day, am sure you have been there😂. All the best lad.

Great install mate, there was as much plumbing in this job as doing the basic plumbing for a whole house.I 'm always in awe of your knowledge and the way you do these jobs so quickly and make them look so easy. I've seen vids on YT where a guy will change a tap washer (or cartridge these days), for some local old dear and then proudly tell you that he's charged her £120 for 10 minutes work because she's paying for his skill and knowledge, yeah right. Great skill and knowledge in this job though. Have a good holiday mate, you deserve it and I'm sure you need it.

Good job Tom but why is the boiler in that configuration not back to he wall
@PlumbLikeTom
14 күн бұрын
It's because the door between the garage and utility wouldn't open fully if the boiler were to have been front facing, they are narrower on the width than they are on the depth if that makes sense, as it was it just fitted perfectly and it didn't protrude as far into the garage making it easier to get a vehicle in, thanks for watching Kevin

I called oftec about the registration and they said oftec is unlike gas safe as you legally don't have to register with them as long as you are qualified. Obviously you can't register a boiler and sign it off for warranty purposes. Saying this though all the old farmers near me maintain there own without any qualifications.
@PlumbLikeTom
12 күн бұрын
You only need to be oftec registered when the boiler first fires up, having said that I did a job a few years ago where I replaced a boiler where the old one had nearly killed a family with CO poisoning, luckily they all survived but the man of the house used to fiddle with the boiler, the flue had gone wrong and it nearly killed his whole family, is it worth it to save a few quid getting a qualified person out
@Roverturbo

I’m curious why you didn’t put the back of the boiler to the wall?
@PlumbLikeTom
