That’s incredible to watch, it looks like alchemy how you do that! Artists are an enigma. I’m always curious if it was a natural talent or did you learn and how did you learn? I would love to paint well too.

Hi There, Well I think it's a bit of both worlds. But learning will get you in the good direction. The best is to begin with drawing, and then train your eyes to see the color(s). Then mix the colors. I have some of my tutorials on my youtube channel. Cheers!

Hi there, If I remember they where: burned sienna (old holland), Burned umber (W&N), cadmium yellow (old holland), vermillion extra (old holland), scheven blue b35 (old holland), scheveningen green C48, titanium white (old holland), ivory black (old holland). yellow ochre (W&N) and michael harding. good luck! :)

It doesnt look like " sixteen century painting". Simply cos you paint alla prima.

@@hrr222 hi there, correct :) I did it in 2 and some three layers but indeed not the same style as they did in the sixteen century. It is more the outcome but not the way of painting.
