Note: Not my rip
Anyway, this was exactly how Americans got to first hear this oddball of a bonus track from Oingo Boingo’s final studio album, simply called “Boingo”. Originally released by Giant Records and distributed by Warner Bros. Records back in 1994, this track only appears on the cassette release for those in the US.
I own the repressing of the 2023 Music On Vinyl/Warner Records release of this album, which uses the standard black color for vinyl records. In terms of the album itself, I quite enjoy it lots in spite of the drastic change from the New Wave musical flavor that Oingo Boingo had back in the 80s. “Change” has to be one of the most avant-garde pieces of music Danny Elfman has ever written and recorded for Oingo Boingo, and I fucking love it. Same goes for “Helpless”, which is what you’re listening to in this upload.
That’s all I really have to say here.
