Ok your having one of the best days of your life on Okeechobee for sure. When your culling 6 1/2 lb fish!! 😱😱💪💪😎 But a little bit of advice as I'm watching you guys. All of those big ones you lost on that frog have been long casts and they eat it close to where it landed on your cast. Either you have to use an 8ft stiffer rod, or you have to double set or even triple set your hook after he's on there. As someone on the outside looking in it's evident that your setting the hook the same way at all distances . Which is totally understandable. I've done that same damn thing. After the tournament was over and Im laying in bed going over everything I did wrong that day that would of placed me at the top.. The one thing we always practice doing is trying to fish clean so we don't lose a fish.. Being aware of how far your casting so you can plan on really setting the hook hard hook so that doesn't ever happen. Especially on tournament day. So many times I've gone back over and tried analyzing what went wrong, and how to fix it. That's what makes us a better fisherman Right?? But you guys were definitely on the honey hope that day. I'm happy as crap for you both. Because they are rare moments like this, that really make it worth all the work and effort we put into a day on the water.. CONGRATS. GUYS. Hope you realized your mistakes that day on your own. But if not! Hope I could help out with my observations. 🎣🍻🇺🇸✌️😎
