@segredosdokarate4015
Geralmente direcionadas a pontos vitais do corpo.

Why are Yagi Ippei sensei and Yagi Akihito sensei sat down so far one from the other ? Shinjo Kiyohide is perfect, as ever. Even the other Hanshi who were there are watching with big attention.

I can't say i was impressed by many performances. Obviously, the very first one, Shimabukuro Zenshun sensei was great. The Yagi cousins, Ippei sensei and Akihito sensei performed well too. Shinjo Kiyohide sensei was perfect as ever. Masanari Kikugawa sensei was also great. Concerning the others, i'm a bit disappointed. I saw katas performed too quickly, with halved movements. I saw hits without strength, missed steppings (probably because of the bouncing floor, but it shouldn't happen if focused correctly), and shortened breathing (almost jerky). I saw too much closed mawashi uke when it should be middled or wide ones. I saw too curved back when it should be performed straight. I saw not turning hips when it shouldn't be rigid... Apart the 5 i quoted, the others have disappointed me a lot.

Well Funakoshi - the founder of Shotokan - originated from Shorin Ryu, however creating style for the army purpose and now for sprort does not make this tiger style traditional... well maybe the name if you like :D BTW Funakoshi once was owned by Motobu in Kakie. Also he received 5th dan from JUDO FOUNDER! :D
