Hail is crazy stuff. I'm surprised that vinyl siding shatters so easily.

I find hailstorms quite fascinating and particularly more interesting is this one in the video since we tend to get rather boring weather in California...

@Frankenkind732 They can be expensive, but hail that size easily rips through glass and vinyl siding, which is really all the damage it did. The wood frame is stable, just the outside (siding) has been damaged.

The problem with no overhanging eves on the roof. I had three foot overhangs built on mine. Cheaper than repairing this kind of damage.

@yyttroll oh but on the contraire... of course it depends on who's doing the "preaching". If I were making decisive, judgmental comments about the environment and one's car, you would be content with this kind of "preaching". But because I'm trying to get you to redirect your attention to the more important matter at hand such as one's soul and salvation, you call it preaching. hmmm...

@yyttroll I believe God is more concerned about our hearts rather than cars..... and if you continue to focus your efforts on the air and water, he'll use something more dramatic to get your attention. Love your neighbor and turn from your sin.

And who gave you the go ahead to judge? Are you without sin? I'm the worst sinner of all, and I can at least admit that, because I'm saved by the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ our Lord.

@@heatherstub Hello, I have to be able to judge. Otherwise, how can I "test and see that the Lord is good". Or how can I "examine myself"? How do you determine right from wrong without judging?

@@Kreemerz We need to call upon the Holy Spirit to help us discern, because we are still all sinners being saved by God's grace and mercy. Moreover, when we hunger and thirst for righteousness' sake, we shall be filled. In the New King James Version, it says "we shall be satisfied." We can't always rely on our own knowledge or righteousness, because we are still learning. Only when we are quiet and still, and when we call upon the Holy Spirit to teach us, and we pray the Scriptures in the Psalms, (e.g. the Word of God), He reveals Himself more and more to us. Remember, when Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they realized suddenly that they were naked, and they hid themselves, because they had fallen from God's Grace. Christ, the second Adam, through His death on the cross, His burial and His Holy Resurrection, opened all the graves of those who'd fallen asleep and they were even seen with Him after His Resurrection while He was here for forty days. He opened Paradise to the thief while they were both on the cross, because the thief gave his confession. That awesome response from Christ that on that day, the thief would be with Him in Paradise, is such an awesome reassurance to each one of us when we sincerely repent, and give our will and our way over to Christ so that the Holy Spirit, who was sent by the Father would dwell with us. We must take Him at His Word and learn of Him and let go of our old ways lest we be given over to pride and forget to always seek Him first and His Kingdom. This has eased my burden, and indeed, His assurance to us comes through Matthew Chapter 11, Vs. 28-30. When John the Baptist said that he must decrease so that Christ may increase, he knew this was to prepare the way for us and that we may be obedient to this same way of life. This is why Jesus reminds us that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no one comes to the Father but through Him. It also reminds us that we even choose to renounce the world, even though we are in it. We're not of it anymore when we let go of our will, and let God have His Way. I know this was lengthy, but I hope it inspires you as it has me, because as a former Protestant, I always thought I was supposed to know what to do. I never felt I even could please God, because I was braught up in a shame-based environment. Now, I know that wisdom, or Holy Wisdom, comes from God, and with the knowledge He gives us, we may also experience His Word in our lives. I heard a saying one day that really made sense after I'd spent a lot of time allowing Christ transform my thinking into His thinking. It says: "Knowledge plus experience equals wisdom." It's not enough to know about something, so we must also learn through our experiences. This requires patience, vigilance and diligence. May God bless you and keep you. In Christ Heather
