Long story. But a few years ago was up to a reservoir here in neb to go ice fishing, upon arriving noticed multiple peices of heavy equip at back end of res. Access road goes in several miles, kind of, becomes a trail after like 3. Anyhow some coyote hunters had gotten a 1 ton diesel aaallll the way back in there and drove across the frozen snow covered feeding river and dropped all 4 tires through the ice, sitting on the frame. Zero service, bad snow storm rolled in over the next 48 hrs. They hung out in that truck, running, hopin it didnt fall the rest of the way through for 2.5 days till one walked out through nasty deep snow far enough to get service and make a call. They managed to get 2 4wd tractors, a military tow truck and 2 pickups stuck tryin to get to them. 2 more days later someone got a big articulating john deer out there w a sileage blade. Its hard to get where they were in the summer, steep ole sandhills. They managermd to get the hunters and all the equip out. I seen pics of drifts as tall as that big john deere. Looked miserable. They hung out in that truck for 5 nights and 4 days through that nasty weather. All they had was some jerky and a case of beer and luckily a full tank lol. Rumor is, the tow company that organized gettin them, charged them 6k for all that. Those ole boys didnt care, they managed to call in a few coyotes while sittin there, worth it. 😂

I call wooded creeks like that the kitchen. Have had better luck between the kitchen and their den, which I call the living room about 200-400 hundred yards off the kitchen.
