Olaplex No. 3 saved my hair! Unfortunately, I dyed and highlighted my hair about 8 times this past year, and my hair was already naturally fine and thin. Thankfully I have a lot of it. After all that dyeing, my hair was so broken and damaged. I've tried all kinds of treatments over many years, and when I discovered Olaplex, I purchased it at Costco. I was skeptical but also desperate to help my hair. OH MY GOSH! I've used it about 4 times in the past 2 weeks because it was so damaged, and I already see and feel that my hair is much stronger. I used it before dyeing it the final time (root smudging because my hair was already too light and I wanted a balayage look, and now I'll leave it alone and let it grow out naturally), and for once I didn't get any criticism about my hair from my stylist. My hair's health is much better and it doesn't look limp anymore. I get really happy when I find a product that actually helps- this one did it! A little bit goes a long way, and it's so easy to use. Just wet your hair, towel dry it, and put a little bit in your hair to cover your hair strands. I'm very happy and I will keep using it.

Go to a salon that uses Olaplex Nos. 1 &n 2. They can do a major treatment on your hair (you could need more than one) and then you can maintain & continue it at home with No. 3 Hair Perfector. When your stylist/colorist says your hair is okay to bleach, then the same products, Nos. 1 & 2, can used during this process, too. And everytime you plan to have the l=bleaching done, use Hair Perfector before & after that appointment.

@GenaMarie

It's normal to notice more shedding with naturally curly hair, because we don't wash our hair daily and we don't brush it, so all the loose hair stay trapped within the curls. When you do detangle on wash day, you're seeing all the hair fall from the week. If you're struggling with breakage, split ends, and retaining length I recommend dry detangling with a little oil. That's how I do it. I put the Olaplex 3 in my rinsed damp/wet hair and leave on for about 20-30 min. I then wash out with a lo-poo and then apply a deep conditioner for 30min-1 hour depending on which deep conditioner Im using. I usually do this on one of my slower days so I can multitask and either clean up the house for a bit or read a book to help the time go by faster

So do you need the 1st and 2nd one too? I've just purchased the 3 rd one and have been told it's pointless without using the first 2? I'm confused 😕 I had my hair done (bleached) and didn't have the treatment in salon.

Doesn’t your hair have to be clean for application?
@GenaMarie

No, you’re supposed to shampoo after using it. However if you have any oils or heavy products on your hair it would be good to clarify to remove them first.

Yes actually. They say for best results wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo, let it dry a little to damp then apply 0 wait 10 minutes to let 0 do it’s part then apply 3. The buildup can make the results less than when your hair is clean

You’re supposed to shampoo it afterwards, so I apply it to my hair before washing.

These products (3,4 and 5) did nothing positive/improvement to my hair! My hair became dryer and snaggy/straw and stiff ....... totally disappointed ☹️ To me these products are not doing what the company claims, and unfortunately I can not recommend it to anyone.....

If you hair feels like straw afterwards, its because you likely need a moisturizing deep conditioning treatment after shampooing out the Olaplex. Olaplex works similarly to a protein treatment, and makes your hair stronger. Using a moisturizing mask after will balance it back out.

@@GenaMarie if a deep conditioner doesn't work you may need to use a little more of the Olaplex and smooth it on.the first time I tried it and rinsed it my hair felt horrible. The deep cond helped but wasn't until 2nd try when I added a little more Olaplex and made sure it felt damp all throughout. Also I'd make sure ur hair is product/build up free. Good luck!

@@christinaobert5664 how do you make sure iTs clean? Which shampoo should i use then!? I just started using it. 3,4,5,6 But i am not sure about 6 if i like it. But now i do 2 washes with olaplex And when the 3th comes i use my normal shampoo And conditioner. But i always have keratin spray also in my hair. Should i was it all out with a different shampoo?- And then use olaplex 3? And i should still use normal other hair mask also?

@@tashabella3902 Also to make sure your hair isn't full of product build up you could do a clarifying shampooing like 1/2 days b4 your olaplex #3 treatment and then try not use any products afterwards that have any non-water soluble silicones. That way when you rinse your hair before #3 anything in your hair will come out with just water. I know it's a lot to learn but hopefully this helps.
