Hello Everyone!
Here is a video of a battery flashlight conversion to LiIon using 18650 battery cells. It is a huge flashlight using a H7 100W car headlight lamp.
Lead acid battery was really useless. You have to keep it always full and if gets empty and stays like that for more than 3-6 months you have to through it away. Not only that but the usable capacity of the batteries was about 2AH if you discharged the at 2C which is the amp draw of the lamp (about 8.5 amps).
Using Panasonic cells NCR18650B in a 3 parallel and 3 series gives 3.400mah * 3 = 10.200mah (10.2AH).
The 3D printed holders for the 18650 batteries were a bit of a pain to use and the model had to be scaled up 2-3% in order to fit.
In this video you get an idea on how to solder wires connectors.
Hope you enjoy the video!
