Also if you like AFI, Davey Havok, frontman of AFI is very close friends with "Nick13", frontman of Tiger Army, Nick13 is also featured on a lot of songs of AFI. Tiger Army is also very enjoyable to listen to as Bassist, Psychobilly music, the bassist uses an upright bass, producing a unique sound, also check them out!

Punk from this era was all about being an audio rollercoaster from start to finish. No real meter changes, unless needed, but tempo would flex from being focused on the back-beat to on-beat. And that's what's made some of the best stuff. Lightning fast chord changes, varied by whatever lead voice in a 3-5 piece lineup they had. Making magic out of simplicity is the name of the game in punk and old AFI is a prime example.
