THANK YOU. I was born in Carrickfergus Hospital in 1963. Grew up there & it will ALWAYS be my home. My parents & grandparents & many family members & friends are buried in Victoria Cemetery. I've cried the whole way through, especially seeing my house from where I remember watching the Marine Highway being built. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Blessings ever from a Buckygelder!

As a boy from Kilmarnock ,i spent my summer school holidays with family in carrick .My mind make me smile when i can see Neds lobster boat and him helping me pull in the creels in and put elastic bands on the claws of the lobsters so they couldnt fight its a life that was . The castle is still my fav . love Carrick always will .A long shot from many years ago ,was there ever a place called the lovers lane in Carrick.?
