Great restoration and attention to deatail. Thank you for sharing. I am in the process of restoring my hand-drill that is very similar in design and colour too. 😀

That wooden handle is not going to fall off. The re-checkering was really nice!

You had me at the lathe, and then especially the chuck on the lathe. It's the best piece to be most ignored... Awesome. More, Please.

I loved the restoration and particularly loved the use of the pipe cutter on the lathe. Genius!

Jedi's garage clever improvisation. I’ll have to remember that when I get my lathe. I have a few old pipe cutters from my dad’s tools that need restoration. I use them a lot on PVC pipe.

I have one of these old hand drills, I love it, so much nicer than plugging in the corded drill!

Overall awesome job on this! Stonking result, I have no doubt you took it to better-than-new condition. I was particularly impressed with how you removed and replaced the small handle, that's a good technique I will need to try to copy sometime. I have the exact same drill, and I was surprised at how well it worked given the small size and the single pinion (which I had up to this point believed made for fairly _meh_ drills). Oh and P.S. thanks for showing the main handle is a press-fit! I couldn't budge mine so wondered if I wasn't seeing a pin or something.

Nicely refurbished. You can buy some small Swiss type files that would make it easier to file the knurling. Just an idea to make it easier. Thumbs Up!
