I spent the better part of April, May and June going over all my ground work in preparation for my first flight in a general aviation aircraft in 7 years (almost to the day). A bit of rust was there to say the least but I did pass my flight review. As of 2007, I had a bit over 500 hours and have now added around 10 more.
The Light Sport Aviation industry was an answer to the high cost of aircraft unless you want an older 50-75 year old model. The Sport Star is a 21st century modern design aircraft that is super fun to fly.
I will continue to fly paragliders as I love that quiet free flight feeling but I started to want a bit more utility when power flying. I used to love flying to Catalina Island for the day and am looking forward to landing there again once the marine layer weather has subsided...and I get a few more hours of practice!
At one time (long ago), I considered trying to fly for the airlines but that’s a whole other story!
Thanks for watching...
