Where did you find your White Mountain motor parts? I'm repairing one and can't find parts.

I could not find the any parts or even an old motor I could use for parts that wasn’t grossly over priced. I ended up making a brass bushing out of a pipe fitting. Parts for those old White Mountain freezers seem really hard to find, if at all.

I've just bought a freezer it will be coming with the same style of motor. If gears are in ok condition, do you think it would still be a better idea to put bushing in there to prevent damage in the future?

They are really easy to take apart if nothing is worn too bad I would just go on Amazon and get the food grade lubricant. Take it apart clean old grease out lube everything up real good and put it back together. If that hole where that shaft rides is egged out then find a brass sleeve that fits the shaft, drill out the housing and press the sleeve in the housing. Mine is still going strong even with the worn gears. Good luck hope yours only needs a good cleaning and greased.

I am so grateful you posted this video! What a difference it made, the motor hums again like it is new! ❤ I've made alot of ice cream over the years (2-3 gallons a month) and of all the brands of ice cream makers out there, White Mountain Ice lasts the longest, but by the end of 1.5 -2 years I'd have to purchase another. I agree that regreasing the motor after at least 10 batches is wise! It simple and easy, as well! Thank you!!

I used lubiplate, I know it probably isn’t food grade but it was what I had and it works.
