Great video! I liked the motivational tidbit at the beginning! My favorite way to practice timing on tricky songs is to practice them really slowly (at first) with a metronome. I use website-based metronomes whenever I don't have a physical one available. I like to start at about 60-80 beats per minute. After each successful run through the song, I'll bump it up 5-10 BPM. If I make too many mistakes, I'll be sure to bump it back down to a speed I can do well and practice longer at little bit a slower tempo. This always helps me bring songs up to speed in a really consistent, well-timed way. It also sort of "gamifies" the process to where I don't feel impatient or like the practice is too unstructured. :)
