Thanks to all you Ren fans for all the views, likes and especially the comments! (Is there a name for Ren fans?) You guys write the most interesting comments of any artist out there. Apparently a bunch of very thoughtful people follow Ren. Maybe the B-Ren-iacs!

That makes a lot of sense. It really did sound too good to be true for just a random street recording. He must have planned how to capture the sound so perfectly.

@@oldmeninchairs3365 The instruments and mics run DI to a recording rig. I believe the drums are recorded by an iPhone. He also has a mic specifically for recording the street/crowd sounds to mix in. At least, according to the comments I have read. He is pretty candid in his interviews about his process.

@@67goat Thanks! I figured it had to be something like that. Nobody just puts their band out on the street and gets a recording like that without a lot of planning and equipment. Not even Ren!

second song is "trouble so hard", originally by a woman named Vera something, i'll look it up in a sec and edit it (Vera Hall), in the 1930's i believe, black southern folk style. Moby sampled it in a song called Natural Blues, released in 2000, which is where most people recognize it from today.

Good morning sir😊 Ren, Gorran (acoustic gitar), Romain Axisa (Black guitar), they all swaps guitars but the best is all of them can sing! Romain just dropped his debut album "A wonderful Thrill", he also have EP album with three only guitar songs called "Colours" also he dropped new single "Django" 😊 If you would like to hear all of them sing I recommend The Big Push "Praise you" cover song or " Bongo Bong" 😊

9:26, For their official videos, they recorded the output from each instrument and mic separately. Ren processed and mixed the final audio. It's still a one-take street performance, so the audio has imperfections, in some cases worse than others. That said, the sound on the street from their portable amps was pretty good in videos recorded by people in the audience or Acive4KMusic, or Brighton Beach Busking.

The song u didn't recognise was Nina Simone.. Its a new day a new dawn it's a new life.. Many people have covered this Muse is a good one.. But I love Nina ❤ also it was Goran the other guitars and singer that put on Ren's strap... Glad u enjoyed this well done 👍

Thanks. That's the problem with doing a first-view reaction. I realized during editing that it was Goran putting on the strap, but I didn't recognize him until later in the video. Also if I had prepared for the video like I normally do, I would have known all about the Simone song. Oh well!

I have had that complaint before, but I like the flashing light because it reminds me of my Dad showing us 8 mm films on a projector in the living room growing up in the 1950s. Funny though, I just heard a Kinks song while I was at the gym this morning and thought, "that would make a good theme song!" Stay tuned!
