There's roughly 24 hours left on the BB Toolkit Pro add-on promotion of 25% off. For the price of a cup of coffee, why not grab yourself a neat productivity tool to help you speed up your 3D workflow. Hint: a BIG feature update is coming, so grab it before the price reverts back to the standard price! It's also a great way to support the channel and the hard work I put into providing these videos 🤗 Links to grab the add-on before the promo expires: beyondblender.gumroad.com/l/bb-toolkit blendermarket.com/products/bb-toolkit www.artstation.com/a/33509290

@beyondblender Wasn't quite able to follow along with this one, not able to clean up the .svg like you have.

Hi, in hindsight perhaps I could have shown it in more detail, although I felt it would have taken too long as a video. I'll put out another video on how I did it, focusing solely on cleaning up. In the meantime, the first goal is to just get to the bare outline of the SVG, using only edges... get rid of as many inner edges as possible and merge vertices all around the edge of the shape. Try to space them out fairly evenly too. In fact, you could also just "trace" the the shape from the schematic. Make one big ngon and then proceed to slice it up into faces and tris.

Anyway, let me put out another video on this, showing the process in a better way.

@@beyondblender Hey, thanks for the help. I managed to figure it out pretty well playing around on my own. I don't think I got rid of enough vertices to call it a clean job, but it came out looking well. I'm going to have to take another go and try to clean it up. Would love to see another video where I can see your process. Thanks again, you are always thoughtful!

@adamgreenspoon6467 that's great news! And thanks for the kind words. Keep in mind, this type of "modelling" isn't an exact science when it comes to SVGs. We do the best we can, and to the point it's good enough to get the result we're after.
