Thanks - it's years of hoarding and not getting rid of too many that makes it look impressive 🤣 Cheers.

Hi Les, on the 03 the mark could be mint damage due to something in the metal sheet the blancs come from. I saw a video in the last couple of weeks on this subject, if I can find the video again I'll let you know what it's called. 😎👍 Hi Les, the video is by Mr Jibble from 6 days ago and it's called "1918 Penny with gas bubble explosion" Mint error. 😎👍

Hi Ian. Yes, many of the variants are down to stamp/die problems. I'm in "talks" with a couple of collectors to do a collab on some of the older coins and their differences, but I not holding my breath. Cheers.

Why aren't you looking for other varieties though? There's the 1903 open 3, the 1909 dot, some stuff on the 1908...

Hi. I was asked this in the George V video comments. Basically I've only got so many coins to go through and to talk about the various differences without having actual coins to show would be a video in its own right. I'm just trying to get the message out to general collectors and new starters of the more common variants. Cheers.

Hi Dave. You are quite right - the1903 is one to watch out for but it is a lot less common. Only 21 million were minted compared to 27 million 1902. There are many variants out there, but I'm aiming to cover the more "common" varieties. Victoria should be a lot more straight forward as I don't have many "spare" coins left floating around, having given a few away recently.... and we all know QV coins changed with the seasons! .🤣 Cheers.

@@LesCoins-uk you could read 10 books about Victorian coinage and you will have not seen everything. 😁
