Amazing video! This fixture is a great example of lighting history. One of the most popular types of street light in most European countries, unfortunately becomes only a legend.

Yeah, now they're putting LEDs that don't last nearly as long as old HID lamps and quite often end up blinking and flashing like beacons or something...

Nice seeing SON E still used. In the UK SON E was never as populat as it looks in the Neatherlands. In my City SON E was common in 50w and 70w lanterns, which i assume was to match the MBFU style which many were converted from MBFU to SON E in the 90s. After from mid 2000s onwards SON T was only used

It’s interesting how everything about that fixture is different from American ones. The socket is different, it opens from the top instead of the bottom and we only use clear son bulbs here.
