Does anyone remember the blade bone in Shoreditch. One of my regrets is taking pubs like that for granted. So many more I remember - crown n shuttle - that's reopened. Thanks for reminding us.

dechips Remember the Blade Bone but hardly went there. The Cornwallis, the George,Sporting Life,White Hart. Loved the Yorkshire Grey down Three Colts Lane. Also went to the Carpenters down Cheshire St and the other one in Cambridge Heath Rd. Plus the Green Man near the tube . Beggars too.

The Blade Bone was great if you liked drinking with Combat 18! Also don't forget Brick Lane pubs no longer there, The Frying Pan, The Jolly Butchers, The Two Brewers & The Seven Stars. I think The Pride of Spitalfields is still going though.

I think...and hope..that this life may exist again..coz there is no way the hardest drinking man can see a mere speck of dust in terms of his drinking life..and wonderful public houses...in his own town before he travels to others....😪

I remember Saturday nights in my local, Alf on the drums and Bert on the old Joanna and all the old wartime songs belted out. Bring back those days.
