Old St. John, a dedication to Roberts place of birth and early years of his life. Robert Ayles is a resident of Toronto for the better part of his life. He makes regular visits to the city of his youth. This song is a story of one such visit while crossing the miramichi river Robert wrote down some words to express his feelings.

As I cross the miramichi
old time memories come back to me.
Lovers I had and lovers I lost
I played the games despite the cost.
I have no regrets of things of the past
for you see that I am home at last.
wanderlust, and thoughts of fame
that's all over now I'm back again.
Following my roots, that cannot be denied
so many years I sat and wondered why.
That's all over now I know where I belong
back on the streets of "old St. John".
So as I cross that Miramichi
every memory comes back to me.
I have no regrets of things of the past
for you see that I am home at last.
