Kickin real tune. 62yrs old an been draggin a skateboard most of those. Back in paper days I used to halfway joke that I lived on caffiene, nicotine, and ephedrine just to make my next load. Drivin today definitely aint the same, the soul is gone. Thanks for the reminder.

Hi from France, i drove interstate (longhaul) back when i lived in Australia. We had different names for them shakers, briquettes, rocket fuel, beans (hence a feed of beens). Looking back it's a miracale i'm still alive, what with the deadlines, the lack of sleep, back then those old bangers used to really move along. We had clutch pedals, gearsticks, and we were lucky (i'm 62) we had the "old timers" that used to kick our arse just before we were going to make a mistake or if you did stuff-up they'd make you re-do it properly.......give advice to a young inexpérienced driver nowadays..... Great song by the way.

@@oldtrucker672 30 or 40 antelope at the side of the road will wake ya up. I drove the Feather River a few times to get over the hill when 80 was closed. Never went to Susanville. I never saw wild horses. Snakes, tarantulas, armadillos, turtles, yes. I’ve seen trucks torn up bad from hitting deer. All the Canadian trucks had grill guards back then.

@@kgilliagorilla2761 Early one morning I left the landing with my load of logs and a half mile out two bear cubs came tumbling down the high bank side of the road. They didn't seem to notice the stopped truck, maybe 50 feet away. So they started playing around with each other for a half a minute until they stood perfectly still, just staring at me. Suddenly they just bolted down the bank, and I continued on my way to the mill feeling like I had a pretty special little nature experience. You just don't see things like that every day. Even herds of Antelope. I never saw them in a group like you did.

For sure man. Hey, he wrote it, he knows how it's supposed to sound right? My approach to covering songs is to do them differently than the original rather than a direct copy trying to sound like the original. That method has served me well so far.

@@samhall7509 plus I feel like it's a better way to show your honor and respect for the original one by putting your own spin on it, cuz you keep integrity a part of the thing. Whoops, I hit reply too quickly. I'm done with bands now, it's a young man's game lugging gear, setting up, tearing down, late nights in bars, drunks, etc. I'm just gonna keep making these recordings, playing all instruments myself and enjoying doing it any way I like. None of these songs were planned to sound the way they do, it just happened. Thanks again.@@patrickwatrin5093
