I don't watch much TV during the day except during lunch time when I'm working from home so I went with the OLED. The perfect blacks are just stunning. Great video, I brought the 75" QNED91 last year and its been amazing. I was on the fence between this and a C1 at the time, and with price being a factor the QNED represented such good value it was hard to pass up. I can say it's been a great choice and I've been very happy with it. In December I added an XBOX Series X and gaming on this screen with 120Hz, ALLM and AMD FreeSync has been pure joy. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a top tier LG screen packed with the latest features, with support for 120Hz VRR gaming but at a good price.

The big problem with OLED, beside some of the obvious issues, is that just like the old CRT sets and Plasma screen, *THEY CAN AND DO "BURN IN" EASILY.* In fact, from reports I've seen, the OLEDS actually BURN IN easier than old CRTs and Plasmas. And I KNOW how easily plasma TVs burn in. Years ago, I was playing a game and fell asleep for 30 mins! The game was on a static screen with white secions. When I woke up, I was in horror as the image was burned into the screen. HOWEVER, thank the TechnoGawds, Panasonic has a special feature to "fix" this and it did an excellent job. But still, PHEW! Close on. I've seen CRTs sets of old that had permanent burn in, mostly when people were doing house work and left the TV on the then "news" channels that had very static bright lines and text that never ever changed. Some where so bad that the burn was so deep that it corrupted the image of normal TV shows. Back then, I replace a lot of CRTs for people who wanted to get rid of that problem. Of course, I laid out the reality that if I change the CRT, they MUST NOT leave the channel on anything that doesn't have action on it (no static images). I also made it clear that the WARRANTY ON THE NEW TUBE does NOT cover burn in. -I'll have to assume for now that the OLED MAKERS have that same verbiage in their warranties.- *[EDITED HERE]* Ok, I just had to check and sure enough, LG and Sony (at least) do have verbiage in their warranty information that: *image retention and burn-in are not covered on their OLED TVs.* So before going to buy an OLED, PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF THIS! The burn in is PERMANENT and can't be removed! So if you're a sports fan, THINK ABOUT IT WELL before jumping in. Many sports things have static stuff on the screen that doesn't change. THAT WILL BURN IN!

This is experimental technology, his job is to work on the processors and develop firmware. (We do his Insurnace so that information is disclosed other details are “confidential”.) If you think about it OLED does have perks but they did just jump to QD tech for that extra brightness. In perspective this client was given the first TV in 2012.... a whole decade ago the latest experimental model is 2017. From what I know right now I’d guess 5 years and we’ll be getting 8K mini LED TVs that outperform OLEDs by a landslide, it really did look incredible just from photos. I would still pick the oled over mini led, I've seen them side by side and you're camera setting don't do justice because if one is brighter than other, you must have shot both tvs with different camera exposures to match what they can reproduce not a side by side take... Also, mini led gives a smal shadow around de edge wich makes it look less sharp on the limit of the screen, beside this, they also produce blooming on dar scenes with highlights... I can agree a little bit with the reflections and higher brightness advantage, but that's only a matter of closing the windows blinds and also I'm pretty sure most "cinema sessions" are during the night so for me that's not a deal breaker too... Most recent films and cameras are now in hdr and Dolby vision, wich makes the higher brightness of the qned less noticeable as you measured almost the same peak brightness, higher brightness is only a plus in above aberage lit invironments like yours, but not in a way it makes a TV better just because of that... Last but not the least, prices, LG c1s are now much cheaper and the price is on par with the qned and they're as good as new c2s... I got a 48 c1 4 months ago just for Sim racing on the ps4, I've enjoyed it so much that only this month I couldn't pass an excellent deal for a 65 to replace my old but sill great panasonic plasma and I couldn't be more happier... @IAlwayswin I've came from a thx certified 50" panasonic plasma that I've replaced with a 65" "highly awarded" Sony full array led x95j I got a good deal (at least I tought it was) but I had to return it due to terrible black uniformity. I've always wanted an oled but the price tag was too high and because of this, I've searched for led alternatives. I've seen side by side Samsung and LG mini led but they had a lot off blooming in high contrast (white on black, subtitles, etc...) Also, the mini led doesn't perform like everyone thinks they perform, they work by zones and not individualy because that would require a lot of image processing to lit one by one, so they're basicaly like the full array that I went for. Like you and a lot of reviewers mention, I was also worried about burn-in issues and because of that and the higher price tag I got the x95j, unfortunately it was a horrible experience. Fortunately on the week I've return the sony I found an awesome deal for a LG C1 and it's by far a better tv, and I don't even have to turn brightness for more than 60 on sdr contents, also, like I've mention on previous post, oleds have been tested in extreme conditions I will never use mine without burn in issues. Sound on the C1 is also better than the Sony and it doesn't loose brightess around the edges of the screen like the led screens. Before you judge me, I'll let you know who I am, I'm a professional photographer that works and calibrates my monitors for more than 10 years, I'm a well informed person and I know how image should look on a TV and that was why I kept my plasma for such long time, it didn't have any rival until oled came up... This is my opinion and it's like the iPhone vs android preference, you have your opinion, I respect but you must respect mine. I already have 2 oleds at home, 48" for my ps5 sim rig and the 65" on the living room, I'm happy with them, you won't change my mind... Peace! ✌️

As a tech who started off as a TV Repairman, the one thing I'd HIGHLY suggest is that WHATEVER you buy, get the EXTENDED WARRANTY! 4+ years where possible. But MAKE SURE that the warranty is actually a good one. READ THE FINE PRINT! The only warranties I trust right now are the Geek Squad Warranties from Best Buy. I get those on anything electronic I buy and several times now, it's paid off. One of those times was in fact an LG 3D TV. I got the 4-year warranty because I KNEW that LG is NOT the best and their "support" is sub-standard. Sure enough, in just around 3.5 years, the backlit LEDS started to dim in certain spots! And as expected, when Best Buy tried to work with LG to fix this 3D TV, LG REFUSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The made a FALSE CLAIM that the LEDs can't be changed. THAT WAS A BOLD-FACED LIE! Not only can they be replaced, but a brand new, LED "kit" (which has matched LEDs so you replace them all to retain even lighting) was just under $50!!! So Best Buy replaced this LG with a Sony 4k. I won't go into details there... but let's just say, the new WARRANTY also paid off... TWICE! I'm on the 4th Sony now as 2 were DEFECTIVE OUT OF BOX. So whatever you buy, I highly suggest get a GOOD extended warranty! A warranty that doesn't create a hassle! Good luck and may the farce be with you! LOL (not a typo.. I know what I wrote) LOL

Freeze the video at 3:44. Notice that the OLED shows lighting on the round duct that is not show on the mini LED. Next, freeze at 3:59. Something isn't right here. The robot on the left side of the pictures is different colors. Also, the bottom of the screens, the OLED screen shows the blue light reflected of the ground and MINI LED shows red reflected from the ground. Now check the background. the area above left robot has more detail in the OLED than the MINI LED. The MINI led is more washed out. But now look at the area above the robot in the middle. The details in the MINI LED look washed out, but then some details on the OLED look missing. In particular, look at the 'light mound', and the grill vent above the light mound. Seems like there are trade offs. I wonder if the differences that I see are: The frames aren't exact. (color differences)? And maybe we are completely discounting the software rendering done by each tv. Anyways, good comparison. I'm leaning MINI LED. I think OLED shows more details in most situations, but I'm leaning toward MINI LED because I want to use the tv as a monitor, and I fear image retention. Also, there are other noticeable differences between the two screens on the other scenes, but this is enough for now. Thanks!

OLED in 65 tend to have a pink hue. Not a problem in the 77,83 sizes. One can also use the reduce blue light feature. Settings out of the box are not going to give best color results. Mini led should be very interesting, especially for larger screen sizes where costs are so high.

@@vladimirshp2396 Unfortunately no. I’m not exactly sure why this occurs. I’ve read that some feel it’s the anti glare coating. Sometimes it’s more pronounced on a particular side of the screen. Not all panels have the issue - and is described as panel lottery. If it’s not visible, that panel is fine.

I will never go back to OLED after trying the qn90b mini-led. If you own a OLED you have never seen HDR, you have only seen an attempt at HDR. Its a completely different experience on my Samsung, wow! Even black level is as good as OLED 95% of the time. OLED is dead to me!

OLED get a bit too much hype, sometimes better depending on the scene but not CRT good. Pick whats best for your use case but acclimating OLED as the only option is pretty ignorant, For gaming and pixel response sure.

I bought the lgc1 last year for my living room and was never completely satisfied with the picture, which I felt was quite dim. Fast forward to a week ago and I decided to jump on a qn95a which I put in place of the oled. Definitely brighter and much better suited for the room. I was also annoyed that the oled protruded from the wall because of the design, the closest I could get was 100mm from the wall to the front of the screen, whereas the qn95a now sits 60 mm from the wall, giving a much sleeker look.

The QNED looks amazing. LG must have really improved it with firmware updates since launch. Most of the early reviews in 2021 were not that great if you do a search but this comparison shows that it is actually very very close to OLED. A bargain considering you can get a QNED for less than £1000 currently.

Yes, but there are some upsides too. IPS has significantly better viewing angles, and also, this particular model QNED 91 has DC backlight dimming, which means it doesn't flicker, unlike Samsung and Sony TVs. Just because of that fact alone, I would rather buy LG. It's healthier for the eyes.
