My winner pick is: ANITA CONWAY / SUGGS PORTRAIT 😮❤ As you slowly move backwards, it greets you coming alive. All brushstrokes. It's a gem. In truth, there are several winners here. This round had abundant talent. Honorable mention, ALEX WESTMORE. HOW about, having everyday life sitters... Famous Butcher, plumber, barber, doorman, manicurist, town gossip, dog groomer, cashier, psychic, theater usher..

I wasn’t keen on the winning portrait. Anita’s was by far the best likeness but the judges are obviously looking for something more than mere likeness. Love this series.

I preferred Anita's as well. The more I looked at Tim's the more I came to appreciate it. Can't wait to see his next one.

The judges are not looking for hyper realism or portrait that looks like a photograph but something original that looks like a painting and captures more than a picture or realistic painting can capture

It's a *PORTRAIT PAINTING* competition. The judges admit that Tim's likeness wasn't good. Yet, they chose his. Every week I say this, and I'll say it again. *I WANT NEW JUDGES!!*

@@malakian3243 Most if not all artists I've seen in this series taking pics of the sitters & painting them off their mobiles/tabs instead of directly from the sitters.

Sarah made a beautiful painting of Eve but I understand why the jurors selected Tim's as the winner, they are not going for the traditional portrait painting that strives for likeness, balance and uniform painting technique they're going for something more Spontaneous, experimental, daring and genuine. Tim was not glued to a screen which allowed him to create a less contrived portrait.

for once in ALL these years (and that says something!) I do totally disagree with the chosen winner. the portrait didn't look at all like the sitter, especially the chin

Do it! I won the first competition I ever entered. It was a watercolor portrait. (Yes, I was shocked!) I beat out some artists who had been painting professionally for over 40 years. You just never know until you try! ❤

Sometimes i feel one sitter gets all the dynamic artists and another sitter gets more amateur looking pictures.
