I've switched to the Olympus OM-D E-M1 mark ii. Join me to find out over the coming months if you can use Micro 4/3rds for landscape photography!
I've been considering the feasibility of landscape photography with a micro four-thirds system for some time before settling on the Olympus OM-D E-M1 mk2. There are a number of compelling reasons for this choice which I cover in this video from Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey. And one of the main reasons is the Olympus 12-100mm f/4 zoom lens, which I intend to use as a permanent fixture on it, saving weight and hassle when out and about hiking.
From my investigations so far the camera body and lens combination look like they'll be perfect for the sort of landscape photography you'll find on my channel, and with the excellent video capabilities I expect the Olympus OMD EM-1 mk2 to also be my go-to video and vlogging camera. This further reducing the weight and bulk needed for my landscape photography outings.
Over the coming months I'll be posting reviews, technical details and sharing RAW files on my website, from this camera and lens combination, to help any other landscape photographers who might be wondering if a Micro Four-Thirds system could be suitable for you

I find I’m being asked more and more often about the equipment I use. As I’ve typed up countless replies and links and lists for friends and viewers, I’ve now set it all out definitively here: dgriff.gallery/equipment/.
