Thanks Roberta. My in camera HDR shots are usually not very good, and I find Lightroom isn't much better, but the fault probably lies with me. However I might give Aurora a go as it looks impressive. I also noticed you had stabilisation on auto while on on the tripod. Much food for thought as usual. Thanks

yeah. the HDR1 and HDR2 thing that makes the jpegs in camera is pretty crap compared to the bracketing method you stack together in software. Audora HDR is pretty clever. very automated. It will put robtrek out of a job. No fun in that. But I am lazy so i let the computer do all the work :-)

Thanks for putting this up. I have 2 Pen F's and find HDR very effective, particularly when there may be someone standing in front of a sunlit window, or similar scenes where there is very high light/dark area contrasts. One downside is that the camera, by default, will always choose 200 ISO. I have only recently purchased, 2nd hand, a mint OMD E- M10.nce Have experienced a mega amount of wasted time, trawling through menus, and could not find dedicated HDR menu setting. However, went into Äpp on the PASM dial, and that allowed HDR in several of the various settings. Also, using the "SCN""" mode dial let me choose say, "" people"" and there was, amongst other choices sitting at the bottom of the viewfinder, an "HDR"" option Could you, or any reader, please post by reference to the Menu page and Tab number, what must the factory intended HDR setting mode. Thanks in advance.

For EM10ii i put in A mode then in Shooting Menu 2 select HDR1 or HDR2 which will auto generate a merged JPG. If you want to blend the photos yourself then select the Bracketing AE BKT and pick what you like eg. 3f 1.0EV.. you can also assign HDR for quick access to Fn1 button via Custom Menu / Button Dial / Button Function
