OMA videos are characterised by three things: 1. Fascinating, unique content 2. Jonathan's evident charm and passion. 3. The most abrupt endings I've ever encountered!

Looking at the collection of vintage speakers you have, I agree with you, those were the outstanding models. I am a LC1a fan. I'm restoring a pair of RCA tube power amps made in Chile ( where I live) specially for LC1a's in a top of the line RCA home mono system. The Hegeman designed enclosures you have there, I read about them in old magazines when I was lucky to find a pair of Hegeman model 1 omni speakers that blew me away with their ability to create a correct soundstage, specially with accoustical music. I am enjoying this series of videos you are making! Thanks for sharing tjhis heritage

The Voight Corner Horns (also the Lowther Hegemans not shown here) are just top designs for me…

Absolutely amazing, and beautiful! To be able to judge a developing product, by comparing to to the best ever, certainly give you a advantage over your competitors. I love how you are preserving audio history and at the same time using it as a reference.

I love the we get to see the vast array of true craftsmanship and experimentation that was early audio. Each piece is a life work for many a small company. They were something special so lets rejoice in the sound of an idea brought to life.

I have, for years, been fascinated by industrial history. I grew up in Columbus Ohio, just at the time it was changing from a manufacturing city into what it's become and worked in many turn of the century factory buildings, some still standing, and appreciate your respect and reverence for that history. Much good luck to you in your future endeavors!

Great video as always, Jonathan. Some other manufacturers might do some reference comparison but you are doing it the right way. I can only think of Silbatone which shares your approach.

Great collection! I can't think of any pieces missing from it, in terms of landmarks in the hi-fi audio scene, but if there are any, they are very few - the first McIntosh amps perhaps. It's very hard to find commercial PX4/PX25/AD1/etc. amps with great transformers.

I appreciate your sharing the connection to the past equipment that you use as a reference for the products you produce. To my knowledge no other manufacturer does this. All others do is show you what they’ve done, but not how they got there. Keep it up…

I am so enjoying these insights in how you came about producing what you do Jonathan. The depth to which you go, the inspirations to what your achieving with OMA is so different to all others and is a much needed thing in reproduction of beautiful music. I love the Made in America aspect of these products as the MFG Quality, but the sound of these products while great in a euphoric sense, they don’t come close to the “Absolute Sound” of Real Acoustic Music & real un-amplified Voices.
