It didn’t go unnoticed by me that Omar is the one who built the room and enclosed himself in there (in a box) alone. Symbolic to the relationship. The glimmers of light shining through giving him hope. But even when it gets dark and things start to shatter he remains in the room. Just like a toxic relationship. The glimmer of light keeps us attached so long it isn’t until the damage settles and your left in ruins, that you can bring yourself to leave as you’re forced to realize there isn’t much remaining. Powerful song and music video ❤️

Ok and the way the room is also a film set - it's not as real or as strong as it looks from the inside. Also, the room has an uneasy feeling - the pipe blocking the door, the low window, the random old furniture, the stairs to nowhere, the plate with pumpkin - it is not a cozy relaxing space

yep the same happened to me almost 2 years ago. As times fly by in recent years certain memories of that relationship would come to mind and show me how horrible i was treated. The sad thing about it is that for a while i wanted him to come back and fight for me to stay. Once that fantasy lifted i started to healing. I’m still single and miss the closeness of having someone but i’m much happier and loving because of it. I never knew having boundaries would be my saving grace cause it has eliminated so many potienal heartbreakers in every aspect of my life.

This video is so complimentary to the song. I’ve definitely felt like this and envisioned myself this way. It’s like building a home within yourself and inviting the wrong person in. They tear your home apart, drive you so crazy you start doing the same to yourself. Being self destructive out of self hate, until one day they leave you in the mess they made of you. And you’re still here, left to pick yourself up. It’s a dark dark place to be, I hope whoever felt this way, feels less alone and finds the strength to move forward. It gets better, one day at a time.
