The new carpet and curtains plus the paint make the room look so different and more cozy and bright! I can just imagine a sunny day, with a nice breeze coming in, enjoying a book on that fun hanging chair. Loving the reno progress!

Arna, you're so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your home design journey with us. It's fun to see your style and perhaps you discovering yours! Your apartment was so modern and then the family house you rented was completely different. Love what you're doing with the house. And, thank you for the Purito BB cream recommendation, it's so reasonably priced and looks amazing !

I had exactly the same experience when hanging my double curtain rods and brackets, as I’ve got thin white cotton curtains at the back and grey linen curtains at the front.

You could have the same carpet made into an indoor rug for your entry. That way you can choose the exact dimensions.

Hahaha! I am installing rods and curtains in a new home and finding the identical problems. Screws pulling out and middle brackets pulling loose and I ended up with cheap sheers because drapes and curtains are so expensive!

Hi sweetie 🌹💝🥰 That looks so nice. My mom did always hang up her curtains up damp and did have a steamer to smothe the smal crinkle in the curtain the day after, it was so much easier then to iron them because they were so big. But you did a great job 👍 Big hugs from Stine from Denmark 💝🌹🥰

When we had carpets replaced, our dog ran off because the workmen at one stage left the front door open. I was at work and my husband at home, who realised too late, had to try to find her. Fortunately he found her. She was trembling and scared from all the hammering and noise. Best to remove Freya from all the commotion and the stress and leave her at another family members house, Arna.

Love so much what you have done! You can get the rope spliced with (my hubby knows how to do it but being in Darwin, can’t help out sorry) and then some sort of shackle thing and a hook...we had a hanging bed we made from pallets on our deck which was really cool and he did something like that. Can’t ask him as he’s working remote at the moment but someone at the boat shop or Bunnings will know.....or....Ms Google. Love your channel Arna...and love seeing Mr Morton too and of course your furbaby Freya. I can’t understand why you don’t have heaps more subscribers. We need to get the word out. I also want to give a shout out to ‘Angela Stuart Beauty’ channel. She is going through a journey having treatment for breast cancer. She also lives in Christchurch. ❤️ xxx

Looking gorgeous 😚 woman. Love the new carpet. I would call that a Berber carpet. We have that upstairs in our house. It doesn't stain as much and wears better. Not sure if it is the same thing but looks similar. Curtains look great too. House is coming together. Hope everything is going splendid!! Be well. ❤️❤️

Oh that’s good to know! I’m thinking about getting a microseal done on it anyway, just so we can enjoy wines on the sofa without worry haha, or at least I’ll buy some more scotch guard and do the high traffic areas!

I look forward to watching you turn your house into a home each week. Can you get a rug made from the same carpet you put in? Is it possible with the green paint for your doors to get a half or quarter strength mix of the colour ? Just an idea. Looking forward to the next episode already! Well done. It's all looking incredible!
