First female artist to have BACK TO BACK #1 albums (Live &More and Bad Girls). First female artist to have BACK TO BACK #1 songs on the Billboard charts in consecutive weeks (Hot Stuff & Bad Girls). Donna Summer was 'da bomb in the late 70's. A trailblazer who STILL doesn't get the recognition she deserves. Thanks for recognizing her immense talent. (Also a gifted painter later in life.) One of the greatest female vocalists in the music industry.

I always preferred the other side of this single "Bad Girls", which was a giant hit as well. But anything from the Queen Of Disco is good. RIP Ms Queen, we'll always remember you. Understand though, the hate toward disco was drawn across racial lines. Disco was and will always be the music of love and inclusion. It didn't matter your race, color, creed, sexual orientation, age, gender, physical condition, religion or political affiliation, all were welcome. That frankly was the major underlying reason for the hatred and violence directed toward this genre.
@londonmum1901
2 жыл бұрын
Hate towards Disco?. Never heard of that or witnessed it. There were so many genres of music (soul, reggae, rock, country etc) back in the '70s all of which made the charts and pubs, clubs etc catered to each of them. We all did our own thing and no hate was directed at any group.
