Thank you very much for uploading this for free for the world to watch. Cheers from Argentina.

I completely agree that a direct feed from the camera would really allow us to see what Tim was trying to educate us about. It is really frustrating to watch this video as Tim is giving useful info here.

Every cinematography presentation i've watched has had sound/microphone issues. It's almost like a running joke at this point.

I’m disappointed that there was no direct feed of the monitor. All of this talk about lighting and lenses and we can’t actually see what the cinema camera was seeing. The web camera filming this masterclass had to be pointed at a monitor obscured by glare and the backs of audience members heads.

I would have preferred to see the camera view and the lit stand in instead of this... man. I am going to watch his movie AXL that he shot at the time and see if it measueres up to Alfred Hitchcocks classics.

EXTREMELY useful, even without seeing the monitor. very grateful for this being here. just one thing... "et cetera and so forth"? "et cetera, et cetera" or "so and so and so forth". small & pedantic gripe, and hardly against the law!

The lack of a direct feed makes this information far less valuable. Lots of good points to consider, but no camera feed means speculation on what is being said. Pass…

What is the point of a filter demonstration if you can't see what he's talking about? Would it have been so hard to record on the Alexa and then use that footage in this video?

Most interesting master class ruined by every single camera angle and a missing feed from the camera.

kind of ironic that these master classes on film and video are really poorly shot

There was no reason to post this video. It serves absolutely no purpose. No one can learn anything from watching a DP walking around a set as he talks about lighting, lenses, and filters,. We need to see what he is talking about. Even having a camera pointed at a monitor would be better than this. I'm always amazed by how these so-called "Master Class" videos are recorded in the most amateur ways.

Yes..is a skill to talk. One of the first lessons in school was to not use these noises to fill the gaps. Is better to pause. I need to skip the video. My mind can't handle it.

This is a poor and amateurish attempt at demonstrating a professional process. It is self defeating and technically contradictory. Dozed off at about the 20 minute mark from boredom.

Very amateur video. He has experience in filmaking for hollywood, but the video has no guide nor good oratory. Too messy to confusing and i couldnt stand more than 10 minutes of the video. I ff but i just google another class. Even a relax interview with roger deakings is more usefull. Sorry for him but the people behind this should put a little more efford in producing this kind of content. Sorry Thumbs down.
