That's exactly what I'm doing, not expecting to find a mint car whatsoever, but definitely have a list in my mind of 'must haves'. I am more than ready to work on what I will finally choose. Number 1 in my book is the least amount of rust.

So well done. Don't worry about the audio on this one; Art's advice comes through loud and clear in mono as well as in stereo. Now, if we were listening to a nice throaty M100, that might be another story... ;-)

Hi from Seattle. I’m most interested in a Mercedes with good RUST prevention. What vintage should I be looking for? I like the older ones, diesel or gas but rust or the susceptibility to rust is a deal breaker.

I have a 1999 SL 500 with 121,000 miles having problems finding the part antenna motor. Do you have any suggestions? Also what is the number of miles I can expect on the R129?
