comfort = complacency = slow death Very few Americans have travelled outside of the U.S., so they do not have a perspective other than what they are fed by the government. They are like a horse wearing blinders that thinks it can see everything going on around it. Why do most Americans fear to leave the U.S.? I just said it: FEAR. Fear of the unknown. Fear of finding out there is more to life than what they have experienced. Fear that the "happy" they have convinced themselves is the best they can get will be shown to be the short end of the stick they have become content with (trouble is they do not see what THAT end of the stick is covered with!).

Thanks for a great video. I just wanted to add that even though Russia is a conservative country it is also liberal (compared to many other conservative countries), because there is no real opposition between liberalism (individuality) and conservatism (tradition). It is all about the balance. In the EU we are mostly extreme liberals and globalist conservatives and those have no place in Russia, no matter how conservative they are.
@stanspb763

Yes Russia is liberal but not in the way it is meant in the US but classical liberal, highly educated culture, open minded and not getting triggered with someone thinks differently. People do not tend to argue, they discuss and are open to new perspectives which is the opposite of the American Liberal You can discuss anything with anyone without anger I never see people getting angry because someone has a different view. But they do expect a reasoned view without emotions. The west hates anything that is different, not just dislike but seeking to destroy it or the person who does not believe the same. I have had tour clients in the US cancel at the last minute because Russia is anti gay. But that is not true, Russians do not care who you love or have sex with if they are adults and aware enough to consent. Heck some of the most revered sports stars and entertainment stars are gay, and their popularity is for their talent, skill or personality not their attraction targets Gays in the US staged boycouts on Russia years ago because a law was passed banning adults having sex with children, a copy of a law in several EU countries that restrict promotion of gay sex to children It copied a Swiss law that was also passed in the UK. But the activists in the US threw fits and staged boycotts on cruise lines, airlines and hotels to stop services to Russia. No one bothered to read the law. Cruiselines were boycotted since St Petersburg was the primary reason for cruises in the Baltic Sea where the ships stopped 2-6 hours in other ports but 2-3 full days in St Petersburg because that is what every cruiser wanted to see. It was also the port gays loved because of their attractive to the arts and culture. As a ground destination management company we created the tours and activities, and hosted all the passengers visa free and we has many tours but one that was popular was night life that included a very popular gay bar that was filled with strait and gays, it was just a fun place no strips shows ad such but a classic gay disco. We hosted chattered large ship once a summer with 3500 gays, by a company that only provided gay travel using chartered ships from the major cruise lines. That trip to St Petersburg was their most popular cruise and would sell out in less than a week. Zero problems, our guides loved the way gays would flirt with the older female guides But after that protest in the US that company had to drop Russia from the cruise and with no Russia there was zero in the other Baltic ports. There were a lot of letters to us apologizing for not standing up to the Russia hate crowd, but mindless mob rules in the US That is not accepted here is 67 genders and schools would never dream of trying convince 5 year olds to change sex like is common in the US but public school teachers. In Russia there are two sexes, not 67 but it is also understood that there is a spectrum of attraction with in those two sexes. A child who likes to play with dolls is fine, but any adult who concludes the child is in need of radical operations and hormone injections to force them into permanent disfigurement is going to get a fight from any Russian parent. Heck, at 5 some kids imaging they are a fire truck or a lion. Children should be allowed to decide for themselves when adults. 90% of the world think the US is crazy for its mutilation of children Russians are very defensive when children are involved, all the programs and opportunities kids have here that are not anywhere else is how Russian want it and reject getting them involved with radical social re-engineering.
